I had to shut off dropbox to do anything cause it was burning through system resources like crazy. Thats when the sync stall started with me.
I have very current model macs and I uploaded gigs of stuff to dropbox like normal. I know at least for me the previous post about file paths being too long turned out to be the problem. (by hitting the x at the right of their names Unlinking doesn't remove your files from the site, it justs breaks the link, which you can re-establish immediately using the blue dialogue box that should open up. Click on the x at the right of every device listed. on, click on the dropdown arrow to the right of your picture on the top rightĥ. You can Google "unlink and re-link to dropbox" but here are the steps:ġ.
It was a mysql folder that I didn't need to be in DB, so I moved it out and now all is fine. I then observed that it was stuck with 4 files, so I used Windows Explorer (not I.E.) to look for the folder that had the little blue circle with the minus sign on its lower left. But after a while, the number started dropping fast. Things went crazy for about an hour-db popup on the tray reported 120,000+ files syncing. Then I relinked my computer (in the blue dialog box that automatically opened upon killing the link to the computer). This one.SOLVED, for me at least: I went to and unlinked every device. As we already have working machines, including I also noticed that there is nothing listed under Sync Partnerships and it says there is nothing available to create a new one.ĭoes anyone know how to fix this? Everything I've read so far appears to be people putting a new Win7 machine on their domain for the first time and it being a GPO problem or a permissions problem. It's also worth noting that this laptop was also working perfectly before It's something that is well established on our network and working for other users. I can not see any errors popping up in the Event Viewer, nor are any errorsĪppearing in the SC as it's not even attempting the sync.Īs I say, we have other Win7 laptops and desktops on the network, all with no problems. If I try manually doing it via Sync Center, Start Sync then it just sits there 'pending' and never gets any further.
However, since reboot it has yet to rebuild the cache. It's something I have done on other Win7 machines with zero problems so I didn't think much of it! At the directions of my manager I reset the offline cache on a users Win7 laptop using the registry change.
